Our 3 day Back to Basics Retreat offers the unique opportunity to strip away the worries and stress of everyday life - escape the daily routine, enjoy fabulous scenery, a welcoming atmosphere and great company while learning about yoga and Mindfulness meditation with qualified instructor Alison Prideaux.  The theme of this retreat is all about taking some time to focus on the here and now, leaving behind the day-to-day troubles and immersing yourself in the moment.  For anyone feeling exhausted - physically, mentally and emotionally this retreat will provide the perfect tonic!

Alison will lead you on hikes in the stunning Gorge du Loup and you will enjoy healthy, organic food prepared by your host (with a little help from the group!). Time will be given each day to guided mindfulness meditation and yoga, and there will be periods of silence for reflection and calm.

Here is a Typical Day: ‘Noticing Positive Events”

  • MBSR retreat etc 038Wake up – warm lemon juice cleanse/wheatgrass juice/ tea/fruit, silence until yoga starts
  • 9am hatha yoga, breathing and body scan or sitting
  • 10h30 Brunch
  • Hike above Courmes – Loop of about 2.5 hours
  • 14h30 tea and snacks at home
  • 15h mindful walking or body scan
  • 16h personal time, journaling, massage, reading, vision board
  • 18h supper – delicious vegetarian or fish dishes
  • Evening – sharing on positive events
  • Preparing vision board 
  • Recorded lecture on interesting health or personal growth subject
  • Sitting meditation
  • 9pm silence
  • bedtime
