NOW FULL Garden Mindfulness and Chill Out

Do join us at another event soon!

These afternoons of relaxed “me time” are hosted mostly by Mindfulness graduates and guided by Alison. There is a pool unless stated otherwise. It is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your practice and with other practitioners in a relaxed and enjoyable way. Bring your journal or inspirational book and between the guided sections do your own meditation, writing or reading, or just being!

This is the Garden Mindfulness Format:

12h to 13h An hour of introductions, a guided meditation ( sitting or lying down) and sharing on the theme of the day.

13h to 15h30 Silent time to meditate, eat your picnic mindfully, journal, sleep, swim, sketch, read relevant inspiring material and “Be”.

15h30 to 17h Time together to do a closing circle and a guided Loving Kindness Meditation with sharing and tea.

Bring your picnic, water, sun protection (there will be shade), bathing suit, a mat to relax on and a cushion to “sit”. Basically anything that will make for a comfortable experience outdoors. Recorded meditations on your phone can be useful as long as the phone is on airplane mode !

Mindful Walk / Forest Bathing (optional swim), Tea and Chats – Bar-sur-Loup, France
Sep 15 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Mindful Walk / Forest Bathing (optional swim), Tea and Chats

Park above the gendarmerie and walk down to 4 bis Rue de la Fontaine.

We will start by sharing a tea and a short guided meditation introducing the theme of the day.

We will then walk from the house along a woodland path approximately 2 km towards Pont du Loup, mostly in silence. There is a steep section with uneven footing as well as smooth paths that follow the contour.

If it is hot we have the option to car share to Pont du Loup for a short shady stroll up the river for a picnic (bring your own picnic and water) and a chilly dip for the brave. Bring a costume if you feel inclined to swim.

We will walk or drive back to Bar sur Loup along the old railway line, which is now a very quiet road. We will finish about 15h with tea and a closing circle. It’s interesting to notice how a day of focusing on the moment can enhance one’s mood and positive outlook J

It’s lovely to know in advance who is coming so please book here, however last minute folk are welcome too.

Mindful Walk and picnic around Cap d’Antibes, France
Oct 13 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Mindful Walk and picnic around Cap d’Antibes

A circular walk of about 3 kms with views of the Nice coast on paths overlooking the clear blue water.

There is plenty of parking.

We will meet at the entrance to the public beach next to Plage Joseph at 12h for an introduction to the theme of the day. This is a gentle walk on a paved path, up and down steps and finishing on uneven rocky terrain before looping back to the start by pavement, finishing at about 16h

We will enjoy some silent walking and pauses for journaling, picnicking, guided and unguided meditation.

Wear clothes for the weather and bring a mat to sit on and a costume if you fancy a swim from the rocks during the walk or from the beach at the end if it’s hot.

Workshop for Graduates or Meditators Only

The peace of being present is only a breath away, come and refresh your practice.

This is a workshop for meditators,

A friendly way to revisit the meditations taught in the 8 week mindfulness course. A wonderful opportunity to restart or refresh your practice and remember how it feels to be present for a day.

No matter whether you are still doing formal practice or not, you are all welcome. For those who have not taken a mindfulness course but have meditated, come along and learn more about mindfulness in an experiential way.

We will start with a group share and then step into silence.

I will guide us through a series of sitting, walking, moving and lying down meditations which will last between 15 and 50 minutes each.

This day of immersion is best suited to those who have meditated already. If your yoga practice includes meditation then you are welcome too.

Bring your own picnic lunch to eat mindfully and you will be served a cup  of delicious soup, tea and snacks too.

If you have a yoga mat then do bring it and wear warm clothes that enable you to move and breathe easily. A shawl or blanket is a good idea and it is useful to have paper and pen with you.
