A day at the beautiful Verriere to revisit the MBSR meditations and further develop an understanding of Loving Kindness and Compassion. This is a key aspect of being in the moment in a mindful way, the kinder and less judgmental we are, the more “presence” arises. This is the second in a series of workshops on Kindness and Compassion and will cover new material.
Do join us and refresh your practice and remember how it feels to be present for a day.
No matter whether you are still doing formal practice or not, you are all welcome. For those who have not taken a mindfulness course but have meditated, come along and learn more about mindfulness in an experiential way.
We will start with a group share and an exploration of Kindness and Compassion and then step into silence.
I will guide us through a series of sitting, walking, moving and lying down meditations which will last between 15 and 50 minutes each.
This day of immersion is best suited to those who have meditated already. If your yoga practice includes meditation then you are welcome too.
Bring your own picnic lunch to eat mindfully accompanied by a cup of the Verriere’s warming winter soup.
In the afternoon there will be more practice followed by tea, sharing and chats !
The Verriere is a beautiful light and airy space with an indoor palm tree (!) and a warm welcome.
We are 10 minutes walk from the train station where there is multi story parking. Street parking near the Verriere is limited so leave enough time if you plan to find a free spot.
If you have a yoga mat then do bring it and wear warm clothes that enable you to move and breathe easily. A shawl or blanket is a good idea and it is useful to have paper and pen with you.
